Guys,

I my battery died in my c4 with the central locking ingaged! The battery has no power for me to open the hood/trunk to get to it!

Is there a way to manually release the level to pop the hood/trunk? :help: :soapbox:

What year? If it is relatively new, you can hook jumper cables to the spot in the fuse box and then open the hood as usual. There is a cable behind the wheel well for some model years.

wross996tt,

It's a '99! Will that work for me? <_<

Sorry, no. You will need to find the cable under the right front wheel well.

Do a search here - this has been covered many times.

Wish I could remember which fuse....

When this happened in my 99 I connected 12 volts into the fuse panel and I remember having to turn the ignition switch on to get it to work but work it did.

There is a much easier way, but you will need a handheld battery charger/starter (all tow companies and many security staff have this). These devices usually come with a cigarette plug adapter to supply power to your car through the cigarette plug. This will give you enough power to use your key to disengage the security system/lock, then you can open the hood.
