The tiptronic is a very reliable transmission. As for it being parked up so long, the factory installed battery is a weak unit and might need to be replaced and the fuel might have gone off. Get the Porsche and I'm sure you won't regret it. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

P.S. Your english fine.... enjoy the car.

there are difference between 2002 and 2003 model ?

At some point they changed to the PCM2 and used MOST technology (or something like that). It is around that time and allows you to upgarde the cars 'systems' alot easier. For example, if you have MOST and have no PCM you can buy one and slot it in, or so i'm led to believe (at a price ofcourse!)? See Porsche website and Tequipment for 996. Also, as the cars get more recent, they started putting more 'extras' on them as standard. They certainly did near the end of the run of 996 TT. I'm sure Loren can be more exact?

Recall laws vary by country. In the US a "recall" is a government ordered action. Whereas manufacturers can also do voluntary service actions - Porsche calls these Workshop Campaigns. Workshop Campaigns are usually done the next time your vehicle is in the dealers workshop for any other service.

Workshop Campaigns are covered in Porsche's TSB system. Contributing Members can view all the Porsche TSBs here.

US Recalls can be found at: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems...ecallsearch.cfm
