ok so i called and got parts and pricing on the turbo brakes $1500.00 for listed below

included

Turbo front and rear RED calipers

Front Rotors and Pads

Rear Calipers and pads

any ideas of how easy this would be to install ?

seems pretty straight forward.

How many hours would dealer charge? seems pretty simple to do but of course this a brake kit and who wants to screw around with a brake kit...but i do love the turbo caliperss

keep in mind its going to replace V6 calipers

The turbo calipers are the same as the V6, except red. Seriosuly, Id look at the part numbers for the rotors and see if they are the same. Waste of money super overkill for the same thing. If you want a pro job take them to get powdercoated or paint them. There is no added braking benefit to those calipers.

The turbo calipers and rotors are not the same as the V6, they are bigger.

really? Then what are the S calipers? Ive driven both the V6 and the turbo and without scientific testing devices id say they were the same from my experiences. If different how much bigger are the turbos brakes?

Turbo and S brakes have the same dimensions. V6 haves smaller brakes, the rotors are approx. 1 cm. less in diameter.

if you are gonna go to that extent then you might as well get the e81 or turbo s brakes

"if you are gonna be a monkey, be a gorilla"

very tru

how much do you think the e81 brake kit is?

im scared to ask..haha..then i need 20s with winter tires right?

and yes added braking and size is the difference V6 is NOT the same as S TURBO or TURBO S

you can switch the turbo and S calipers becuase there the same size..

keep me posted on ideas ill get some pricing on e81 brakes.

turbo "s" E81 brakes

V6 has smaller claipers and rotors and calipers- 6 in the front/4 in the rear. 330 mm/ 32 mm rotors on the base Cayenne, 350 mm/34 mm on the new Cayenne S and 368 mm/36 mm on the new Cayenne Turbo. The OEM 18" Turbo wheels will clear the brakes just fine. Moreover, Porsche claims the Cayenne brakes were developed to meet the same rigid anti-fade standards as those on a 911.

Why are you looking at change calipers? If the padss are shot slap some Hawk Pads on them abd save the money. You also said in December thhat the lease was almost up-spend the extra $$$ on a new car!
