would 996 red caliper fit 997C2?

After seeing all those nice cars on the track, I really want to add some color to my 997C2.

I am wondering if 996 red caliper would fit 997C2.

996.351.426.11 Right front

996.352.422.13 Right rear

996.351.425.11 Left front

996.352.421.13 Left rear

It would be really appreicated if anybody could let me know. Thanks in advance. :)

I respectfully disagree :notworthy: .

The red Boxster S calipers are really 996 calipers (I have them on my 996) , and the 997 (not the 997S) brakes are a carryover from the 996, so I would think that they just might work.

I would recommend test fitting one, and reporting back.

According to Suncoast, it would fit 997C2. However, the part is out of stock and it would take 2~3 weeks to get it. In addition, the price went up as well due to the currency exchange rate change. It looks like it's gonna cost me somewhere around 1.5K to have it deliver to my house.

Obviously, this is much cheaper option to get OEM red caliper than getting whole 997S brake kit which runs around 5~6K.(Of course, I could just paint the caliper :)) Only thing concerns me is that nobody has done this yet for 997 :(

I have the 997 C2 and would like top upgrade to some bigger brakes like the 997C2S/997 TT or similiar. How can I do this? I have heard that the fasten points to wheel carriers are different.

I see that the PCCB are available as kit for both C2 and C2S. Are these different?

Today, I finally installed red caliper on my 997C2.

The red calipers taken from Cayman S fists perfectly on 997C2. Orient Express, thanks again!! :)

Did you do this yourself? As just from casually observing the the calipers the 987S caliper looks bigger than the 997 C2 (could be the colour). I wondered if you had any photos of them side by side
