I am looking to buy a 2001 Boxster S. It is not equipped with the onboard Computer. My current 2001 Boxster has the computer. How easy would it be to swap cars?

Swap cars? Just give your keys to the other guy, and take his. There. Cars swapped!

All Boxsters have OBC built in -- it is just not turned on. You need to find a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS tester and have them turn it on.

If you want the steering wheel stalk that can be added to - or you can mount a switch on the dash board to change the options.

Detailed instructions for retrofitting both cruise control AND OBC can be found here:

You need to register/login on Renntech first.

The four stalk switch is actually cheaper than the 3 stalk so cheaper to do both anyway (in case you don't have cruise control already). Wouldn't recommend the dash switch idea (naf) !
