Can you believe this bad luck!

Picked up my new 2007 Carrera S on Thursday. Gorgous car...Meteor Grey, Sand interior, sport exhaust, loaded with goodies. Wrote the check and then 5 miles from the dealership, I take a stone thru the front airdam and it slices clean thru one of the cooling tubes for the ac condensor. Huge cloud of freon and then wait for the flatbed. Service manager says has only seen this 2x in his 28 years! Anyone else have the same good fortune? Am curious if any aftermarket company makes grills for the front dam to shield the ac from hits and garbage from the road? My Benz has nice black wire inserts in the grill and it stops all stuff from causing damage. Don't want to create overheating problems or void warranty. My first post...thanks.

Sorry for the bad luck. The holes do collect a lot

of cigarette butts. Here is a link for radiator grills.

Seems like some states have more stuff on the road then others.

Thanks for the information...I'm gonna check these out, they look like the same grills Mercedes uses on the sl's.
