Just a word of warning about testing the microswitch for the latch mechanism in the roof rail. I had a MY99 Boxster in my garage today for the soft top not functioning. After checking all the microswitches at the relay for continuity with a multimeter everything checked out. The latch switch had a resistance of 0.3 ohms across it. This was a high enough resistance for the relay not to pick it up. Licking my finger and putting it across the contacts at the switch was enough for the roof to start operating! So in conclusion, don't always trust your multimeter when checking the switches. The relay is very sensitive and needs a very low resistance in the microswitches.
