986 Alternator Removal

Looking for instruction on how to remove the alternator in a 1999 986. My check engine light is on, and the codes indicate a back air change over valve or check valve. The instructions I am using refer to a DYI on removing the alternator (to get to the valves, but I can not seem to find the posting of those instructions. Thanks in advance for you help.

Put the convertible top in service position-remove the carpet on top of the engine bay-remove the carpet behind the seats-remove the service fence-disconnect the battery-remove the poly-V belt-remove the two retaining bolts(1 normal and 1 with the pulley roller)-remove the alternator while you disconnect the wiring.

Success.
