Hi everybody,

I’m a potential Cayenne owner, and I am thinking about buying a 2005 Cayenne S, with 37k miles, for about $40k. This car in particular:

This is a late 2004 built model, anything good or bad about this?

Any other reasons why you would not buy this particular car based on limited information that I provided? Anything that I should look after?

I am not very "rich", but I want to buy myself a present, and hopefully I will keep my job long enough to pay off for this vehicle, so if you have any advices, now is the time to tell them to somebody that will listen.

Thank you all

I would not buy any 2004. Hold out for a 2005 or 06. The electrical issue have been resolved by 2005. If you have to get an 04, look on the drivers door jamb and look at the build date. 07/04 is about the latest 04 you can get before the 05 build date starts.

I just went to the dealership to check the papers for the second time, and it says Production date 11/05/04. ?!?

I also talked to the guys in the new car department, and I can get a 06 V6 for the same money ~$40k.
