2002 Boxster - 2.7, automatic tiptronic - I replaced the regulator on the alternator since there was alternator problems. At the same time I replaced the battery as well. After iinstalling the new battery and the new alternator regulator all is fine except no power is getting to the stereo. It does not respond to any buttons being pressed. I understand the code people talk about though I do not get any response to the stereo unit at all! I swapped the fuse out - D8 and D9 though this did nothing. Is it possible the stereo or amp where effected by the battery dying? I did jump the car as well...perhaps this could have caused an electrical issue? Thanks in advance for the help!

Remove the face plate and clean the contacts.

Then, there is a 10 amp fuse on the back of the radio. You need to pull the radio out to check this fuse.

Where did you get the regulator?

Thanks for your response. I got it from a local alternator/starter shop in vancouver BC. I used the fellow from Dubai's instructions on how to trouble shoot an alternator and it turned out it was just the regulator portion of the alternator. The swap went rather smooth! Is there a special tool to get the radio out to get at the back of it? Thanks again.

Yes there is a special tool. You can go to any stereo shop and it shouldnt take more than a few minutes to pull the radio out. Fuse probably blown.
