Hi Guys,

I've just ordered the smoker delete kit and have done a search of

how to install but can only find a bit about the lighter. It's the tray I'm

interested in. It does look simply like 2 screws under the rubber 'mat',

but what about the window switches, how do they fit back in and how do I

get them out?

Thanks, Barry

It's pretty simple.

Once the two screws are out you lift the ash tray out and remove wire from the light and press the switches out (remember which one goes on which side).

Then to install put the switches in one at a time making sure that they snap into place. Since there is no light in the new non-smoker tray you just leave the wire from the ash tray light unplugged (but out of the way). Put the two screws in and the rubber mat and you are done.

I love it. The article is for a Boxster. I'm assuming since this is a 996 forum, it's available for my '02 C4 Cabrio.

I have since found out that this is available only in black or grey.

I have a metropole blue interior and will use a black I guess.

Or... have Eric at Bumperplugs.com paint it for you.

Actually, I found a silver one on Ebay of all places.post-14876-1177535820_thumb.jpg

I have graphite grey, and I got the black non-smoker kit. It looks very nice since it matches the black trim around the center of the dash (around the radio and climate controls). It has a nice rubbery texture.

Yes, did you read the DIY I linked to?

Yes but I'm sorry, I didn't remember seeing part numbers. I did remember seeing that it was Boxster so I didn't think it necessary to record specifications. It will never happen again.
