Did you know you can do a 30,000 service yourself for about $100?

That is what the parts cost. There is a filter package that includes air, oil, pollen filters and the oil plug seal for $88 at Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost. Six spark plugs (depending on the year of your car since later models don't get changed till 60,000) would add another $40-$50.

I have seen dealer prices for the same service anywhere from $485 to $985.

Hey Ppl,

I just paid after tax and everything....$800.26 out the door for my 30k maintenance. Yeah, expensive I know, and I could've taken it to an independent porsche mechanic for $536. But the dealer did take really good care of my car, took care of anything that was broken and under warranty, checked all recall issues, and detailed my car. Guess you get what you pay for, but I just bought my car recently and want to baby it for awhile I guess... :P

I got a quote of $ 800.00 for a 30,000 miles service from Rector MotorCars in Burlingame (CA) earlier this week.

Carlsen has a oil/filter change special for $118.78, add on other filters & services might still save you a cool couple hundred $. I think it's closer to where you live too.
