I have a 1997 Boxster when A/C in auto the air blows out of center vents (this is ok) but it also blows out of defroster vents and it fogs up windshield. If this is normal (I doubt) how do I fix this problem? Please help if you have the anwser

err.... don't you just unclick the up button on the AC console to close the defroster vents? If that's not working, then you have a problem. Probably a failed motor or jammed valve door or something.

When the A/C is in Auto when you change any funtion on the controls you take the A/C out of auto and when just center vents are selected it still blows out of defroster. when bottom vents are selected then it doesnt blow out the defrosters. can the auto switch be the problem and if so can it be cahnged out?

Mine does same thing. I just select center and footwell vents and that takes it out of auto.
