Hi guys,

I am a new here, recently picked up a 2000 996 C2 with GT3 kit - rear spoiler.

Great car, absolutely love it, already have a list of mods I am working through, will post up photos over the weekend.

In the meantime, I have front clears but halogens, I would like Litronic headlights, I read that there are retrofit kits available for the 1999-2001 models, is this correct.

Can any one help, part numbers, photos, how to install.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Safe riding.

Just saw you're in the UK. Might check with Gert at www.carnewal.com as well. Since you're not going to get murdered by the Euro, he may be a good option since he's on your side of the pond (Belgium?).

Thanks for all your help.

Does anyone know if they are switchable left hand drive to right hand drive?

Richard: no problem I will contact you as soon as I receive the new fronts!

No. I understand that they are driver side specific, i.e. that there are different lense configurations for you folks on the wrong side of the road. :D I'm quite certain Gert can advise you specifically though.

Thats a shame, I am sure I read somewhere that they are switchable (maybe from Loren).

I will give Gert a call next week.

Thanks,

Yes, Litronics (the early Xenon) can be switched.

What ever position they are in flip the lever to the other position.

Well that is good news, thanks.

Just to clarify, by early version you mean those used on the 98-02 models (pre-facelift)?

Thanks again!

You might want to keep your old halogen headlights -- don't sell them on eBay just yet! It is my understanding that the Litronics Retrofit Kit will not pass MOT because they are not self-leveling. So keep your halogen headlights and swap them in before you get your MOT.
