I am installing X51 headers on my 997S and wondered what the proper torque spec is and if any particular tightening pattern is recommended.

Thanks

Nothing special that I can see - 17 ftlbs.

Thanks

So how did the install go? Your impressions of the X51 headers in terms of performance? Do you have high flow cats and aftermarket mufflers as well?

Install was quite easy except for one bolt on rt header which was hard to line up because of a hose and a couple of exhaust nuts that were a little tricky to get a socket on! Took me about 2 hrs!

Only change so far is a bit throatier tone with the PSE. Standard Cats, no noticeable performance change, nor did I expect any

I am hoping for a little better gas mileage, probably in vain. System sounds great and headers can't hurt.

Haven't been able to go back to MA. yet for a long distance test!!

I Just ordered my PSE and X51 header today. Considerinbg the install myself or just bringing it to the dealer.

Did you install the PSE as well? Switch or no switch?

Congradulations...

PSE was previously installed with a direct wire from fuse box to switch in console to PSE solenoid for complete on/off control, by passing the DME.

I installed a PSE myself - 45 minutes.

I decided not to wire it up - I simply can't justify it as the exhaust isn't that loud. The extra work to install the wiring is totally unnecessary as the PSE unwired defaults to the "loud" setting.
