Loren,

I have an early build (#337) 2005 997 w/ NAV. I was wondering if you knew which versions of NAV DVD's are compatible. I tried a 10/2006 version (P/N 997.642.257.04) for PCM 2.1 but get an 'Incompatible DVD' message on my PCM screen. I heard there might be a PCM software upgrade required before I use a latter NAV DVD.

Any info or comments on this topic.

Thanks,

Arnie

Have your dealer check his TSBs - there should be at least one firmware upgrade (if not more) that needs to be done with their PIWIS tester.

I had the same issue. You will need to update the software in the PCM to be able to use any map DVD later than 10.2004 release date. try porsche to see if they will do it for you , but usuallly they insist you buy the update DVD with the software as a pack from them. Its not cheap ..in the UK it costs the equivalent of 800 USD.
