I was hardwiring a V1 on my 2005 TT and was using my volt meter's piercing probe to check which wires near the sunroof motor were switched.

In doing so, I pierced the red wire that seems to run between two sections of the sunroof motor assembly. The probe went right through the wire and insulation to the steel roof and caused a quick short. Now the sunroof isn't working at all. I've checked the fuse at the fusebox and it's still fine. I got the fuse number from the owner's manual, so I'd hope I was looking at the correct one. Can someone confirm the fuse number?

Is there a second fuse for the sunroof motor? I didn't see anything at the motor itself.

Stumped!

Should be D3 (fourth row from the top - third fuse from the left). It should be 30A.

That's pretty funny. BOTH the owner's manual and the fuse panel insert had the sunroof fuse as the C3- shared with the windows. My windows worked, and the fuse didn't seem blown, so I didn't think it was a fuse issue. Or at least not that fuse!

Both documents provided with my vehicle were WRONG. Lauren was CORRECT. The fuse was the D4 and it was blown. My fuse guide indicated the D4 was for the power top on a cabriolet.

D4 fuse replaced as it was obviously blown. Thanks a million!!
