The "factory style" switches are readily available and very easy to install. A small eBay investment if that's what you need. I put one in my car just for the fun of it (there were some blank spots on my dash). Can't answer your 987 question because I haven't looked that closely.

I bought and installled the spoiler indicator from Stefen in Germany (ebay). I think it is a great product and appreciate the visual of the spoiler operation. This is of course just allowing the spoiler to operate as designed. I have not seen a need to raise and lower the spoiler manually except for cleaning.

I just look in my rear view mirror and can see the top of the spoiler sticking up just above the bottom of the rear window...I guess you'd call this a "manual" gauge. It works for me....and it's cheap! When I slow down, it disappears...that means it's down.

I take it you moved the up/down switch by the fusebox to the console (using a different switch). Did you follow a DIY for this? If not can you tell me how you did it? Thanks.

What was posted in that ebay link is not a switch its only a light in a blank cover. I bought that thinking it was a switch with a light in it but it's not. I did install it and it blinks as the spoiler goes up and down and stays lit up when the spoiler is up and off when down. It's a neat item, but still be nice to have a switch. I'm 6.0' so I can't see the spoiler in my rearview as somebody mentioned, so the light is neat, can really see it at night.

The wiring diagram for the spoiler switch is here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ic=7071&hl=

You can buy the switch at Porsche for about $35.

I'm buying the switch and will install it below the where I put the light (top right blank switch panel) should be cool to have a switch and matching light there.
