Flushing ABS pump

I understand that PST2 is needed to flush fluids in the ABS valves.

Can the same be achieved (more or less) just by engaging the ABS, as the old fluid will get circulated into the normal circuit, and get "diluted by" the fresh fluid?

Since I change my brake fluid every 3 months, my old fluid can't be that old. In addition, as I track my car often, (3 events already this year!) and the ABS is engaged regularly :P Should I still need the dealer the bleed the ABS system?

I have a 2001 S.

You can use a PST2 or the Durametric Software to start the ABS pump for bleeding.

It is such a small amount that I usually don't worry about it (and I have both a PST2 and the Durametric Software).

ABS bleeding is not supported on Durametric as yet... unless you have a secret Beta version, Loren??!

I have discussed the feature with the Durametric folks - but it has not yet been implemented.

ATE Super Blue has the same properties as ATE Typ 200 (gold) -- it is just blue in color.

I would not worry about the small amount of left over fluid.

I just emailed them this morning too :)

I know about the ATE, but this would be my 1st time flushing and I have to go on the assumption that it's Porsche fluid (I checked it when I bought and it had just been flushed, fluid was clean and gold)

so it was the mixing of Porsche and the ATE that had me worried :)
