I am about 80% of the way through planning my Mac Mini install into my 2001 Boxster. Some of the guys here on the forums have been helping me.

Now I need some different but related information. My car has the Hifi upgrade kit installed that means I have an amplifier in the front trunk just behind the spare wheel. It is the HAES brand. I am planning on routing my Mac Mini sound output directly into the Amp (or if this is not possible via the HU). Can anyone tell me -

  1. How to remove the amp from it's mounting point?
  2. Anybody got a pinout diagram for the HAES amp?
  3. Can I get switched power from the Amp wiring harness?

Cheers

Depends on the Head unit you have, if the CDR 220 you'll find it has an AUX in

Also if you need power, theres dozens of threads on tapping power from the phone system in here :)
