I beleive some have already asked this in the main dealers. If your car was fittd with the sport chrono pack (ie you have the sport button) then the PSE can be fitted to your car and will work in conjunction with the sport button. If you do not have the sport button then the unit can be fitted but the louder sound comes in with engine rpm rather than a button press. Expect the unit to be about 2000 usd with another 6-8 hours to fit. There is no performance gain from the system ,so you may want to try a tuners exhaust for the same money.

Just a thought, if you are thinking of the PSE from the 2007 S I would double check to see if it will go on an 06 model as the 07 is a 3.4L engine and the 06 is a 3.2. Probally the same muffler but check all the same.

How about in the 2005? I have Sport Chrono, so from what you're saying, if it can be fitted on an '05 987 then the Sport mode will trigger the PSE & more aggressive throttle (& in my case PASM too)?! I was wondering since on the 987 there are really any blank ports like there were in the 986.

I'd be interested, but any idea when it might be available? Where did you find out more about it?

Hey, I got great news from Porsche today regarding Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE). It will be coming out this summer. Here is a copy of the actual e-mail I received from PCNA today:

"Hello:

The Boxster S is a great vehicle!

We will be offering the PSE around May/June of this year. We are currently assembling the kits and are in the process of having them shipped from Germany. There is no current pricing for this as of yet. I assume that will be done around the release date. The part number for the kit will be 987 044 200 00. I hope this information helps and have a good day.

Best Regards,

Adam Miller
