Hi I am a proud ower of a 987 Boxster and I am planning on doing some upgrades to my Boxster. Basically exhaust ,air intake and ecu. I am looking for a little extra power without spending large money.

I would like some input regarding the exhaust system and suggestion what systm to use. I have read articals on several types, Milltek, B&B, Fabspeed, Tubi and a few others. What I am primarily looking for is more power but close to the sound of the Boxster without getting to loud.

All these claim, boost in power but not sure who real does, as I have no experience with these companies.

Hope some one out there can give me some good advice.

Without spending some significant $ on intake, ECU, headers, cats and exhaust, I doubt you will feel the difference any one component "upgrade" makes. And by the time you have made enough changes to really affect the power, you are in the "bigger engine transplant" range of expense.

Further thoughts are at http://mike.focke.googlepages.com/itisn%27tfastenough and, though they relate to the 986, the engines are so similar they should apply to the 987 as well.

A 987 is already a lot of car. The factory did high performance tuning for you when they built it. Relax, enjoy your new most excellent ride and save your money for tires and track days.

Thanks mike for your input, one question how do you feel about the new sportdesign package that porsche is offering for the new boxster and aftermarket package for the boxster. Would you think doing the packge would hurt the sale of the boxster or not as it is an offered upgrade by porsche.in case I ever desided to sell my car.
