Hi Ron... Check me if I'm wrong, Loren, but, the 996 Thicker Steering Wheel option code is XPA and the part number for it is 996 347 983 00. The color code for black is A28 (D11=natural grey leather; T11=natural brown leather). Those were the options for my '04 GT3.

Craig is correct with the main part number 996.347.983.00

A few color codes change with model year. For example if you want black:

8YR would be for MY00 and older

A28 would be for MY01 and newer

Many of the leather colors have multiple color codes also - so you would need to tell us your model year and color to get the exact number.

Oh... now you tell us it's a Tip... now you see why we ask for:

- Model year

- Body Style (i.e. C2 Coupe, C4 Cab, C4S Cab, etc.)

- Transmission type (i.e. 6 speed or Tiptronic)

- Interior color (when relevant)

-· Country specific information (LHD, RHD, RoW, US, Canada) ;)

A different steering wheel with switches.

The part number 996.347.804.64 is a standard 3 spoke leather wheel for a Tip.

You will want 996.347.983.01 plus your color code.
