Moving Climate Control unit (again)

Apologies for another post but......I plan to move my CC unit from the highest (under the central air vents) position to the lowest (above the bat-wing) on my 1999 C4.

In its place I need to put something - was thinking about a storage box, a CD holder or a cup holder- can anyone advise of parts needed - I have looked at the trim piece around the existing CC unit and it curves upwards a little with a box in the middle where the CC slots in.

Can anyone tell me what options there are - Ive found tons of advice on moving the CC panel - but little in the way of filling the gap!!

Cup holders do fit there. There is a kit that has all the parts.

I have not seen a storage bin in that position, but based on this picture it might just fit.

There is also a blanking plate for the radio. But, again, I have not seen it used in that position.
