Any idea to fix this?

I must confess that I am always very very VERY careful with the car....... but, I don't know why 2 scratches just appear on the rear bumper today...... :( :( :(

Can some one tell me what I should do or suggest some thing I can make it go away.......

Sorry to hear about your boo boo. :(

I guess that you have 3 choices:

1. Live with the scratches

2. Have the bumper painted...cost $750-$1000

3. Buy some Artic silver touch-up paint for $19.95 at the dealer and fill-in scratches.

Since I also got some mysterious scratches on my bumper, I elected option #3. It looks OK. :thumbup:

Get some touch up paint from the dealer. Arctic silver is tricky to touch up, but if you use a tooth pick and use very light amounts, and a few coats, you should be fine.

I have heard about some "Experts" can work on it and make it almost disappear.... without repainting the whole bumper. Any one have idea where to find this kind of "Experts" ? Please help !!! :(

I also would recommend trying the "Langka" if you opt for the touchup route. I have used it before, and it works great for smoothing out blobs. :cheers:

Sorry about the scratch. The local Dent Wizard here in Atlanta also has a service the repairs scratches on cars. They do a great job on dents (from personal experience :P ), but luckily, I have not needed the paint repair. You may want to give your local dent repair place a call to see if the also have a paint repair service. Good luck.

Ask your dealer who they use. Stevens Creek Porsche uses Don with Dings Plus out of Santa Clara. 408-243-8778. I have seen him there a few times in his van and watched him. He has paint sprayers in his van.

I've got some scratches myself that I'm thinking of using an airbrush.

My scratches are more like scuffs. They have no depth to them - only surface scratches.

Anyone tried this?

In the Atlanta area (Marietta) it only cost just over $300 to have the entire bumper painted .... at a first class shop .... if you take it off and put it back on yourself.

This looks easy to get rid off... get some Turtle Wax simonizer (i think it is in a white or green case), simonize it over, remove then wax the area... from the looks of the picture it should get rid of the scratch marks... you will still have the texture of the scratch, but the color should be silver. Also, a good detailer could probably fix it. Good Luck! Ross
