Apologies if this is answered somewhere else but after 20 minutes of searching I cannot find an answer.

Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to remove the PCM unit (with navigation) from an 06 Boxster S? I am looking to add an Auxillary In, possibly using the following unit:

Does anyone have any experience/suggestions in this area?

Thanks in advance!

No experience as such, but i am intending on doing a similar install using the Dension unit instead.

As i understand it, you will need to remove the rear carpet flaps down in each footwell and behind the main console. There is a screw that is removed, the piece comes out and unclip the trim either side of the console and slide out away from the dash. Its attached via runners ans so should be easy to get it back in the same position.

As for the PCM, this i intend to play by eye when i get there. I am assuming that there are some sort of clips or mini-torx screws that need loosening before you can remove the unit.

I'm sure others may be able to fill in the gaps.

Regards

Popolou

How is this unit much differnet from the Dension unit? In fact, the dension unit is chepar and has far more options. It has the AUX option, USB and IPOD already included. :lightbulb: You may want to look that one over before making a final decision.
