hello

I was wondering if a real porsche USA dealership will preform a PPI on any 996 , Also what is checked out when they do a FULL PPI , will they check leak down and cyinder pressures, check RMS for leaks ,and can they tell if the the engine is on its way out or a brand new replaced one was ust installed,, trans and axles about how much do i expect for them to charge for a FULL inspection, and will they give paper work and a check list of worked performed, I just would like the hodown before i show up looking like a noob

looks like wllong has it right the checklist just seems like a nice wax and cleaning, so i will have to ask the dealer for the compession, leak down test and pressurize the cooling system, check the DME for update and run engine numbers etc....

I can do all of this myself put who in there right mind would let me check out all this stuff in a driveway with a tool box hahahahaha

anyone know of a good porsche PPI in CT MA area??

Your regular garden variety PPI is going to be a visual inspection and likely a check of all the control units with the tester. A compression test and leak down test is going to be several more hours of labor. An easy way to tell if the engine or transmission has been replaced is new/reman engines and transmission dont have cosmoline applied to them.
