Rivets are used to hold it on, and it is non-obvious where to mount them.

I had one on my 05 987S and found that it created strange airflow through the cockpit. I tended to take it off when the weather was hot.

Had our '05 987S out today in low 60 degree weather in southeastern Virginia. Windows were up, windstop screen in place, sun shining, and a great ride. I had my installed by the dealer after purchasing the car and glad I did. There is much information available on this site on how to do it as a DIY project. It's not rocket science and requires just a few tools and patience.

Good luck with the new baby! :drive:

Was it installed by the dealer?

Thank you.

I am also considering to add a self dimming mirror.

I am also considering to add a self dimming mirror.

I recently purchased a new My06, it came with the wind stop and the self dimming mirrors, I highly recommend both options, although I think that the self dimming mirror will be an expensive one!

I installed the wind deflector on my previous 986, not really hard at all, search this forum, there are some DIY instructions...
