Hi all,

I's been a while since my 986's sold.

I missed Jeff, Loren, and the great Renntech gang here, so came back with 987.

OK, here is my first question.

The location of cigarette lighter plug in is now far away from winshield, where do you guys put your radar detector? Thanks in advance.

At least the 987 is not silver....

I met the new owner of your 986, Dan, at the RMG tech session in Sunnyvale last weekend. Car was on the lift.

I decided to go for 987 instead of new engine hassle, but I sometimes miss her.

I had so much fun with that car for a long time.

Thanks for the picture, TP.

I have been using the plug in the passenger footwell for my 987 with the V1. I would like to hardwire but I have had the car for just over two weeks and I am trying to give myself a little time before I start with upgrades. I too would like to see a photo DIY on a 987.

Out with your old engine and in with the new. Pics from Dan on the Pelican board.

I ended up with Escort Solo S2.

What a difference it makes without all the wires. The added benefit is that the LED color matches with others, and it automatically shuts off the LED until it detects new signals. (not easily visible to cops, esp at night).

So is it up and running yet?

I browsed through Pelican boards, but I cannot find it.

Up and running ... and for sale.

It's just great feeling to see her back, and the engine looks cleaner than my 06!

Jeff, do me one more favor, and ask the new owner to join this board. :lightbulb:

Anyway I did the first mod(sort of) on her sister this afternoon.

Are you coping me ;) just kidding

I had an artic silver with red leather 986 as well. Bought a new speed yellow 987. Have hardwired my solo S2 to keep from going through batteries all the time. Easy to take with me when I get a rental.
