Hi Guys,

I have followed the instructions on here about removing the horseshoe - mine is the 3 part one. However I have navigation and I cannot get the trim off that is left from around the nav unit to replace with the silver trim. I thought it would slide forwards over the nav display but it doesnt. I can only think that I have to disconnect all the wiring to the nav display and slide the remainder of the old horseshoue backwards over the nav. I really don't want to do this, is there a way of releasing the horseshoe from the nav. There appears to be a cage moulded into the back of the horseshoe which there isn't on my silver one. Please help my car is in bits!!

Thanks

Vron

As I recall the Nav has to come out to get to the horseshoe off.

Just press in on the release clips on each side of the nav and slide forward so you can disconnect the cables. You will need your code when you start the nav back up again.

Thanks for the reply, do I need to disconnect te battery? Is it easy to restart the nav - I have all the codes.

Thanks

probably not if you are careful.

Yes, it might take a minute or two to synch then it will ask for the code(s).
