Which piece the knob or the part of the trim below the knob? (and color?)

Actually Loren its the brushed Aluminum on the shifter itself. Wraps around front to back, leather on each side.

Well, if it is not the knob itself then there is bad news. Porsche does not sell parts of the shifter mechanism (i.e. shaft and housing). Like the 6 speed housing you can only buy it as an assembly.

If it's the Tip shifter knob : 955.426.069.00 PCS for black.

The alu shifter gate (part#7) : 955.55.261.00 4W9

Do you have the part number for the center console trim pieces in dark walnut? I think this looks like it's number 8 in the diagram above.

The aluminum trim ring has a dent it so that's all I really need but it looks like it's 'plastic welded' from the bottom.

To date, my dealer has only been able to come with a part number for the whole (center console, doors dash, etc.) dark walnut kit trim.

Many thanks.

The parts list shows part listing for olive grain, rootwood, and ash wood for the console trim piece (8 above). Please check your option code numbers as I don't know which is which.

Thanks Loren,

I know it's not the olive grain. I'm thinking that it must be the rootwood. For what it's worth the listing in a Tequipment catalog for the whole package is:

Dark walnut wood interior package

955 044 800 18

Hope the above helps.

Item 8 in rootwood (as it is called in the parts list) is:

MY 04 -- 955 552 297 01 4X2 Trim Centre Console

MY 05 -- 955 552 297 02 4X2 Trim Centre Console
