Am considering a 996 coupe, and wonder if it is possible to get a rear facing child seat in the back and still have any room for a front passenger (c. 5'4") to squeeze in for a short ride?

I did a search, and there is a lot of helpful information on older kids' booster seats, but only a couple of posts referencing rear facing seats (for kids younger than one year). From those posts I am not optimistic, but I wanted to check.

Has anyone put a rear facing convertible seat in the back of a 996 coupe (specifically, something like a Britax Roundabout)? If so, any pictures?

It sounds like once my daughter is old enough to face forward I won't have any problem, but I'm wondering about what happens until then.

Thanks!

I haven't seen a single seat that would fit in the back. And I've been looking. Why not put the Porsche seat in the front and have 5'4 sit in the back?

I'm not sure how popular that suggestion will be...

Anyway, I'd been assuming that the Porsche Baby Seat was roughly equivalent to something like the Graco SnugRide, and the kid is not going to be in her SnugRide much longer. On closer review, though, it looks like the BabySeat is bigger than a SnugRide--no height restriction is listed, and the weight restriction is 4 lbs higher (26 v. 22 lbs). Maybe that will be enough to bridge the gap until 12 months when she can face forward in the back.

Thanks.
