Hi, any idea how to remove the exhaust tips from a MY2002 C4S - large oval type. Have bought a set of the twin intersecting oval tips which I prefer to the ones I have currently.

Thought it would be a simple matter to change.

Have slackened off the bolt through the access hole but cannot remove the tip, I understand and can see there is a split ring/collar arrangement - but how to expand this so as to get the tip off.

Is there a special tool/ trick.

The tip swivels around the collar and is quite loose - but I think I somehow need to expand the tips outer ring to release the whole tip.

Any ideas??

Wow - thanks for the quick reply - but where do I get a screwdriver in - from behind? The c4S tip seems to have a welded plate across the back of the tip - in effect blanking off access to the clamp mechanisim - the only access being to the bolt via an access hole in the underside of the tip.

Thanks
