2004-2005 GT3 Rear Wing

Is the rear wing on the '04-'05 GT3 adjustable? I assume it is, because Porsche tells us in the Owner's Manual that the factory setting is the only acceptable setting for street usage. I also assume that the little buttons on the inside of the wing struts need to be "popped off" to get at some sort of set screw. However, I don't have the guts to go around prying off body parts until I know that is their purpose.

For racing, clubsport or DE, the only way to change the angle of incidence of the upper wing is by using adaptors that put the wing on 4° or 8°.

Thanks Loren. I have seen that post but I fail to understand how they work. Do they sit on top of the strut and add an angle to the wing? Is the shim visible when installed? Do the "caps" on the strut just pry off? So many questions and so little time !

First you must remove the little caps on the inside of the struts. You want to pry off the caps carefully otherwise you may damage the fastener. Loosen the bolts that hold the wing. You will need a torx screwdriver. Then put in the shim, the wing sits on top of the shim and it will add angle to the wing. The shim is visible after installation.

I am thinking about adding the GT3 wing to my '03 996 C-2. However, would the older, first generation GT3 wing fit? I assume it would just like the 2nd generation.
