Wow, I have had a great year driving my 1997 Boxster, but a couple of small issues have popped up.

Issue One.

My Heated seats worked fine when I purchased the car, now my heated seats are intermittant. If I drive the car for awhile the seats will work. Now it seems that I have to drive longer and longer to get the seats to work.

Could this be a relay that is sticking, since when the seats do work they are fine, both high and low settings work well.

Any wiring digaram would help and or locations of fuses or relays to check.

Issue Two.

My rear fog lights are jumpered and both worked very well for a while, I tried them at the end of summer and they didn't work anymore. I check the Jumper wiring and it was fine with no shorts to ground. I also noticed my Front Fog lamps no longer work.

I do not know if the front and rear fog lights are independant or they share common points.

My regular lights all work fine as does the turn signals

any ideas?

Last time you asked about the relay I posted a picture of it. ;) The fuse is Row D #6. But if your fuse is blown then you would get nothing all the time.

The relay and the fuse for the relay have no other circuits on it. I would just swap the relay with another Boxster owner and see if that is the problem.

Are you pulling out the switch properly for the front fog lights? You are going to have to check to see if your jumper wire is still secured. Most likely it is a fuse since the fuse is for both front and rear fog lights. Maybe you created a short with the jumper wire. Jeff

I will check my old post about heated seats. sorry for the repost.

Fog lamps

The Jumper wire is fine, no shorts as I have stated in the post. it used to work just fine, I am pulling out the light switch correctly also.

I think I did check the fuse and it ws fine I'll have to check again to be sure.

Thanks For you help!

Diagrams for the fuses and relays are posted on my web site for the heated seat upgrade.

Keep in mind that there was a tech bulleting for the seat wires getting worn. This MAY be contributing to your problem.
