How to adjust brake pedal linkage

I think I've finally got my brake issues about straightened out. I took the car to the dealership to have the master cylinder replaced, and after three tries (long story), they finally got the brakes back to hard. However, the pedal seems to have more travel before the brakes engage than it used to.

Does anyone have factory specs on brake pedal travel? How do you adjust the travel? Is this something the dealership should have done when they replaced the MC?

The brake pedal height can be adjusted very little. It is mainly intended to adjust the brake pedal height for proper "heel and toeing".

Sorry, but if the pedal is low I would still suspect air in the lines. Did they bleed the ABS system too?

Yes, they bled everything. I did hear something about adjusting the linkage between the pedal and the booster, and between the booster and the MC. Is this easy to do?

There are two or three variants of boosters used on these cars are they are all a little different. Did they replace the booster? and/or did they reset the pushrod dimension?

"Note: Basic setting of the push rod-dimension X is 138 mm (set in new brake boosters)! If necessary, correct during the relevant work!"

They did not change the booster. I don't know if they did any pushrod adjustments.

Can you tell us how you got a soft pedal to begin with? Was it the result of any caliper work, or pad replacement?
