Loren,

I am going to ask the dealer to make a full revision of the braking system. The car just does not break with the stoping power that I was enjoying in my previous Porsche Boxster S. I think something is wrong there.

I want them to look at the whole system. My Question is : What are the components that I should ask to look at ?

Antonio.

hi Antonio,

I have similare feeling when stepping on the breaks, need to step on it harder than the Boxster and I feel that the ABS coming somewhat to soon.

I have checked the breakpads, all pads are OK and the breakdiscs are about 1,5mm less than new ones!

Could it be that the breakdiscs needs to be change?

cheers,

Tony

Based on the cars age and mileage I would have them look/change the brake fluid, pads and perhaps rotors. Really need some history of the car to make a better guess.

Loren the car has 6000 thousand miles. It is the second time that i take it to the dealer. First time they said that the pedal was going down too much and they changed the hydraulics ? Buy gt remains the same the pedal goes down a lot yes the abs enters too soon and you do not feel that instant and hard braking power

A dumb question Tony, but might you have a leak in your system that only reacts when you put pressure on the brake?

Way too new to have pad or rotor issues. I wounder if the power assist has a problem or like Don said a leak in the hydraulic system. A leak doesn't necessarily mean fluid coming out. It could be the master cylinder is not holding pressure.
