I have an '04 Cayenne Turbo which I bought new in August 2005. I was told at the time that because it was a 2004 model that it needed to be recertified by the shop, which it was.

Now, the dealer has called me (a year later) and asked me to bring it in because Porsche has asked all dealers who recertified 04 Cayennes to recertify them again. When I asked why, he did not know and said that all he knew was that he been given 7 files to contact and set up appointments for recertification. Can anyone tell me why this would be and what they are looking for?

Thanks.

John.
