Hi all,

I recently installed an 03 boxster bumber to my 00 boxster S. After installing the rear bumper I noticed that the exhaust tips are much smaller on the 00 boxster as opposed to the 03 boxster S. To rectify this issue I asked my local Porsche body repair company if they can “give me” a 03 boxster S exhaust. To cut a looong story short they accidentally installed a 00 boxster exhaust. Yes I went backwards(ie the car now looks like a boxster as opposed to a boxster S).

After the installation I have been experiencing the following:

• Power has dramatically decreased

• The sound is now awful (considering the 00 boxster S didn’t really have a nice sound to start with)

• There’s this annoying whistle that comes when I go above 55 miles/hr . I can’t understand how this could be related to the exhaust, but that was the only thing that has changed?

Can any Porsche expert have stab at the problem? I think it could be an issue with the cat’s but im unsure. I’m definitely going to change the exhaust but cant understand the above issues….…

Thanks for any help

Raj
