I have searched the forum and found the antenna mod, which involves removing the A pillar, but I am still a little uncertain as to how to proceed with removal of the drivers side A pillar. Could someone answer the following questions:

Do you have to remove the visor or not?

Do you just pull on the A pillar until it comes off?

Thanks in advance...

Yes, it will snap off.

Check the clips and plastic retainers before you put it back on. Sometimes if they have spent a lot of time in the sun they crack or deform.

I found this old post about removing the A-pillar cover for a 996.  I assume that is for the coupe.  I also assume I have a couple of screws under the removable panel that holds the visor in place in my cabriolet.  Is it the same procedure by pulling it inward?

Yes, on the cabriolet you remove the visor mount screws - then the rest comes off the same.

I got the pillar off nicely, but having trouble with the connectors at the ends of the antenna booster.  I have tried to push a paperclip in "A" while pulling on "B" (see pic attached).  Is that the correct way of unplugging this connector?  I'm trying to do in place as not to put additional stress on the wire that goes to the windshield when it flops around.
