Hey all,

New to the posting at this sight, however have been reading Rennlist for a while. I have a 2000 C4 3.4L w/ tip SC. Had to take my EVO SC off to get pass the visual for CA emissions a week ago. Put it all back togehter w/ re-mapped ECU and runs fine for over 120 miles. Filled it up at the gas station with some overfllow going at the vent tube. I have overfilled before with never any problems. Don't mean to overfill but some gas nozzles are just funny that way. Put the cap back on tight, smell no fumes and take off. Get to the light, and while I am waiting car dies w/ a whole christmas tree effect of lights on the dash. Turn off the car and restart, everything is fine. No CEL, on OBD codes returned on my scanner, runs fine like nothing ever happened. I do not think it is related to the SC. Is there some type of safety feature with the fuel that maybe the car sensed the excess gas draining off from the fill up at the gas station and shut me down.

Any clues would be helpful.

Thanks, Vince

I think you just stalled it (all the lights will come on when your key is in the on position and you stall) so no need to worry.

water in tank?

Car has tiptronic so it was not a stalll. Just changed fuel filter and checked fuel, clean and OK before this happened. This really felt like the ECU took over and shut the car down.

Perhaps you need to clean your Idle control Value. Perhaps you just got a stumble of the idle while at the lights?

My guess is he fixed it as it was THREE years ago...LOL :o

and if he didn't fix it, he's been sitting at that light a long time....
