No sound from speakers, does the stock amp have a fuse somewhere?

I found a blown fuse in the back of my radio, and replaced it. It turns on, but there is no sound from the speakers. Is there a fuse somewhere on the stock amp? I looked at it in the front trunk, and it didn't appear to have one.

The radio fuse in the driver's footwell was fine. Any other ideas?

MY02 is kind of a strange year for the BOSE (5000) and a separate amp for the subwoofer. If you get no sound out of either check fuses D8 (7.5A) and D9 (15A). That would be fourth row down from the top 8th and ninth fuse from the left.

Strangely, my D8 fuse calls for a 15A (radio). That fuse was fine.

D9 called for a 15A, and is labelled "sound." Even though the fuse looked fine. I changed it and out came sound! Thanks again Loren, you have saved me for I think the 3rd time now. I've never seen a fuse that looked fine and didn't work, but there's always a first. Who knows, maybe the legs weren't making contact.

As a side question, do you know what D10 is? My fuse guide lists it as an "optional sound package" fuse, with a max of 5A. The slot is empty for my car.

Hmm... sounds like fuse guide is from MY01.

Now that is strange... definitely not what my fuse guide looks like. I wonder if someone at the factory was reusing the 01 guides...

Hi

I'm have same problem with 2002 Boxster with double din stereo with Nav & Telephone

Found that 10amp fuse on rear of unit was blown so replaced but still nothing on radio

No display nothing?

All fuses check out ok on fuse panel 

 

Any ideas??
