996 C2 coupe RHD.

After an unusual spell of dry weather here in the UK, it started raining. I put on my windscreen wipers and they did not work, neither the front (via the stalk) or the back (via the button).

Obvious - a fuse fault as they are on the same fuse and everything else is fine. I checked the fuse and it looked alright, put it back in and the wipers all worked. Then stopped again 20 mins later. I replaced the fuse - but still not working.

Then I went to put on my lights, the side lights worked, but the main lights, full beam and fog lights do not work.

I spoke with the garage and they said probable relay problem and it is booked in for Monday - any suggestions that I can try before I go as it will no doubt be expensive?

Thank you.

In case anyone else has a similar electrical fault, the problem is with the ignition unit not completely returning after starting the engine - new unit required.
