Hi,

I've been lucky to procure a 2004 911 GT3 in Australia a few months ago and had the stereo replaced by a professional installer but am finding when driving the unit is turning off and on. He specifically mentioned he had put a stereo into a GT3 before and accidentally used the speed sense wire which caused this problem and was very careful not to do the same thing with my car so I believe he has taken the power from the cigarette lighter.

Would anyone have a wiring diagram available that I can pass onto him? I'm now replacing the stereo as it didn't do what I wanted (iPod connection) so a JVC KD-AVX2 head unit with KS-PD100 iPod adapter has been ordered, I just would like as much information as possible so he will do it right first time (fingers crossed). He'll also be replacing the speakers running off an aftermarket amplifier so I would appreciate where would be the best place for him to get his power from to do this. I'm hoping wiring looms would be pretty much the same for AU as they are in the US.

Many thanks in advance.

Richard.
