US or RoW car please?

Do all the other lights work okay? i.e. headlights etc.

Any other strange electronic problems?

Thanks Loren...appreciate your help...It is a U.S. car...all other lights appear to work ok...No other strange electronic problems...Could it be something in the ignition switch?

Could be... try wiggling it and see if there is any change.

thanks Loren...really appreciate your help...i'll try that when i get home tonight in about 6 hours...

thanks Loren...tried wiggling but no effect...chatted to a dealer today and they said that their are a couple controllers that may have a problem...would you have any insight in to these?

Those lights are controlled by the alarm/central locking controller (under the drivers seat on LHD cars). You might want to check the connections.

The functions are easily tested with a PST2 or PIWIS.
