Rear bumper with parktronic

Recommended Posts

Do you know what the part # is and retail cost from the dealer? It's for the bumper only, not the rear valence. It has parktronic, so does each individual "circle" piece need to be ordered as well? Or is it all integrated with the bumper?

Thanks!

Are you adding this to a car that does not have Parkassist?

The part number will depend on the the type of spare you have.

Parkassist was actually for both front and rear. I think you will also need each sender and the wiring harness to support them -- plus the control module. And I think will need the warning buzzer and wiring.

I don't know anyone that has retrofit this (if that is what you are trying to do) - but it could be a bigger job than you think.

Actually, its not a retrofit. Someone side swiped my rear bumper, so all I really need is the rear bumper cover. I'm not sure whether the little circles is integrated into the rear bumper or not. Basically everything you can see from outside the car (the bumper and the circles) needs to be replaced, everything internal is fine. My hope is that the rear bumper includes the circles. Thanks!

There are several part numbers for rear bumpers. I still need to know the the type of spare you have (because the shape changes for different options - hence different part numbers). If you do not know your spare type then please post your option numbers.

Pardon my ignorance. The car is in the shop and the wife has all the insurance cards. Luckily I took pics of the spare when I bought the car new.

Here it is:

Hope it helps.

If your car has option I1G1, I1G6, or I1G8 then you would need:

955.505.411.02.G2X Lining (prime coated) -- MSRP $390.81 (as of June 2006)

and perhaps

955.606.275.02 Parkassist sensor -- $67.65 (each) total 6 on rear bumper

955.505.266.00 Sensor sleeve -- $24.47 (each) total 6 on rear bumper

Thanks Loren! I called the Body Shop and was able to get hold of the owner on his cell. He told me the tag near the spare tire with all the option codes said "1G1". I assume that is the same as "I1G1"? All of the codes are 3 digits.

Thanks,

Ryan
