Could anyone supply a picture of their 2000 Boxster stereo amp which is located in the front trunk? I purchased this Boxster and the previous owner had installed an aftermarket amp and then removed the unit prior to the sale. Unfortunately he cut-off the factory (18) plug and used wire connectors to install the aftermarket amp. I am trying to reinstall the Porsche factory 4x40W amp and need to know the wire color to pin configuration. I was able to locate a commercially available (18) pin connector that will fit within the Porsche female receptacle, but unable to determine pin-out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have it in front of me right now, but if you go over to ppbb and search the archives for my "996 amplifier transplant" post, I had the color codes in there. Also, I have the wiring diagrams but am in the middle of a "cupholderectomy" right now. Send me your e-mail and I'll send you the post later tonight, if you can't find it.
