All,

I have had my 2006 Boxster S to the dealer 3 times now for a problem with the top. I would love to know if anyone else has had this problem and if so what was the resolution.

The problem is that there is a plastic bar in the back of the top that attached to two clips (under the top cover)

When I operate the top, these clips break and this bar drops down and rests on the motor cover. I am told this bar is there to aid in water drainage and direct water to the outer drain areas. When the top is closed this bar also gives tension on a flap that pulls on the bottom of the read window to give it tension.

I am now going in to the dealer in friday as they claim they now have to replace the entire headliner.

I have also called PCNA and filed an investigation.

Any evidence of another having this problem and what was done to resolve it would be great.

THanks

Darius

Are you talking about the rain rail? Mine is doing that too. Did you ever get a solution?
