I just got Roof Rails from a private party. Tried to put them on myself, but having trouble lining up the holes on the rails and the assemblies (assemblies are 3 pieces that gets put in to the Rails on the roof to attach the actual roof rail accessory). I do not have instructions (though it looks like it is straight forward), and it looks like pressing down to force them line up may work. But I do not want to do it since I am not sure if it is the correct way to do it.

Has anybody tried this before?

Thanks

There is a six page TSB that covers installation of the Roof Rails and is available to view here for our Contributing Members (as are all TSBs).

Contributing Members can view TSBs online, use the Retail Price Search feature, access the Contributors Only Forum. They can send attachments with PMs, image storage limits are raised for all Contributing Members, RennTech.org email addresses are available and a personal Blog.

Contributions help defer the cost of running this site and providing this information to you. No one has to contribute but many members do. Without contributions this site would either have to go subscription or cease to exist.

Its pretty easy, if you understand german.... haha.

There are the six slider peices that fit into the groove. On each is something like vL mL and hL. vL means front left, mL means middle left, hL means rear left. Use the same system for the right side and you're good to go.

I did this the other day. Screw the under rails to the roof skin. Then if the three lugs don't line up just push them down and slide to the correct position, then screw in the hex grub screws. Hope this helps.
