  1. Thanks Silver Arrow! Keep it coming Porsche car owners of America!!!! :D
  2. Thanks, 70Sixter! I still need more advice. Do I need to abide by the selling State or the State I reside in?
  3. I have never bought a used car before from a private party. So after the PPI is done and you agree to a purchase price, how do you drive the car home (out of state) without a license plate and registration? I will pay sales tax once I get the car home. Thanks.
  4. Are the over-revs date & time stamped on the DME?
  5. I have only had a bad CV joint on a VW GTI many years ago. It made a clicking noise, when turning. The boot was fine.
  6. Ross1, you will find some great info here about your question: http://www.lnengineering.com/oil.html I also hear good stuff about the www.redlineoil.com gear oil.
  7. Here you go: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant...y_Code=POTEBXEX
  8. Don't forget, your car with PASM, already sits about 10mm lower than a car without. At least this is true for the 987. Lowered cars look great. But what about driveability (curbs, driveways, speed bumps and etc.) and comfort?
  9. Is there a difference? Yes Should you use 93 Octane? Yes. For the average driver (15,000 miles per year) with average MPG's (22) the proper fuel costs an additional $140 per year. trim your budget elsewhere.
  10. Hey Spoongegreen Bobpants! Please Save Me or Porsche Saved Me Rearly do we save it...it saves us!
  11. Both! Just kidding! $13K sounds like a lot of money for any car without an engine. Could definetely save on gas! :D
  12. Holy cow, that's a ton of over-revs! That car has been very abused. Are you the original owner?
  13. I removed my airbag stickers with the visors in place. This was the first mod I did. Yieled about 5 additional HP! Rubber gloves Denatured alcohol Large towel to protect work area Dab, rub, dab, rub- lots of patience Once the stickers were removed, I wiped down the visor with Vinylex Looks great!
  14. RFM, these ranges look much different than the ranges posted by Loren a couple months ago, IIRC. I'll check when I get home.
  15. Did you miss a downshift? The rev-limiter does not protect you in this case.
  16. Would rolling the lip inside the fenders be a viable option?
